Hello, I ran into a problem. I need to create a rotating 3D low poly animated rock with different, 3D tracking text on all sides. I made something similar with Trapcode Mir plugin, but it’s not quite right, I can’t model it in there as I would like. I believe Cinema 4D would help, but I don’t have any experience with it. Also, I can’t find the sollution of how to add and track texts on all surface sides to match perspective of the moving rock. Can you help me?

Adding the example of what I would like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1H_O6yXSwY

To be more clear: All texts should be on all polygon triangle parts, moving with correct perspective, speed and precission, in shorter term: they should be perfectly 3D tracked in there.

In C4D, take a look at the Landscape primitive. If you make it spherical, you’ll get a rock shape. If you then reduce the segments, that should give you a low poly.

You can either add text in C4D, or use null objects which can have their position information exported to After Effects.
