Using Free Templates for Broadcast Design
Hi. So my company is running a cable channel and I’m lucky enough to be doing some video editing work for it, taking over a previous editor who resigned recently
A lot of the stuff they’ve done for the channel will need to be refreshed/replaced with new continuity graphics in the next few weeks to reflect upcoming programming changes and I have been thinking of using some free Premiere Pro templates I have downloaded recently which would save me time to come up with ones from scratch, especially as they look really good in motion. Like say, if I were to show a graphic where it says “You’re watching [name of show]”, and only have to customize the actual content and tinker some color and whatnot.
Now I’m wondering if, for those who do create motion graphics for broadcast TV, is it actually okay to do so.Thanks for anyone who could answer and give their take on this. 🙂
