  Premiere Pro 4K MP4 workflow

  Hello, I am a videographer and I shoot with a Canon 90D which in Europe saves footage as MP4 and not as MOV. So I have those 4K MP4 files which don’t really run smooth in PP. What I do is to create proxies, but when it comes to CC, I really need the files to be ProRes. I don’t want to transcode all the footage though, but only the clips that I actually use in my timeline. How to do that, in a batch way? Alas, I have issues with the Encoder: it encodes till a point and then freezes. Do you also experience that? I use the 2018 versions.

  Atm I create proxies with iSkysoft, and it runs smooth as butter!
