I recently moved several projects that are in progress to a new drive. Every time I open the project Premiere asks me to re-link the proxy files. I understand doing this the first time but why does it ask me every time I open Premiere? Why isn’t it remembering where the proxy files are now?

It’s happened to me. I suggest first saving as a new filename.

Otherwise create a new project, copy everything into that, verify everything linked.

I think as good as it is, the locate and search functions get confused.

One reason might be resources as well as where you save files. For example my source files are on their own drive, Premiere on system drive and cache on its own drive.

If any of those is full that might affect things.

After big projects I clear my cache as Premiere will recreate what it needs if i delete something that belongs with it.
