Premiere Pro 15.2 does not open project
Attempting to open an existing project PP 15. App will hang up with the spinning color wheel. The UI opens but the footage remains pending. It is possible to create a new project, and save it, but it will not reopen that project. This happens with even a simple project of one sequence and one clip. This does not happen with 14.9. I am using an iMac with version 11.3.1. Problem occurs with or without an eGPU attached. Is there anyway of converting/saving a PP15 file in a way that PP14.9 will open?

Are you on the latest build 15.2? If not, update. If you are, uninstall, then reinstall – blow out your preferences. Report back if that helped or not.

Try creating a new blank project and then with that project still open, open the project you want to work on. I’ve had to do this ever since PP 15 released. If this works, then save the blank project and always open it first whenever you want to re-open PPro.

Thanks, I tried all that with no success. Got assistance from Adobe and they just trashed “ControlSurface” from the Plug-ins folder in Adobe…Common and it all got good again!

actually the problem recurred again 8 hours later.
