  I would like to make the grey paint in the background of this painting drip

  I would like to make the grey paint in the background of this painting move so it looks like it’s dripping and was wondering what the best way to do this was in after effects? Not sure whether a filter would be the best approach or to use scale/positioning? Any thoughts appreciated! Thanks
