color correcting a shadow with a mask
This might be basic, but I’m going down a rabbit hole of tutorials. I shot another “how-to” video with really lousy lighting (please don’t recommend lighting rigs, they’re not in my budget). The bottom half of my video is in shadow, and I’d like to brighten that up with some color correction using some masking. I doubt I’d need to track it, but if you guys recommend using AE instead I can accept that. Is this possible?
If not, I suppose I can use the shadowed area for flying in text on a lower third just for fun…
