  • Adjust Animation Speed Using Markers

    Hi!

I got the Animation Composer script and it’s awesome. I know it’s pretty reliable, but I don’t want to just settle on using it. I want to experience doing such animation from scratch.

I noticed that when using AC, the duration/speed of the animation can be adjusted using the Marker (see image). Part of my learning curve is to learn such trick. Can someone tell me how this is done using markers?

    Thank you so much!

Expressions can see the markers on a layer. You can then write an expression that uses timing information from the layer’s inPoint as well as any markers.

Here’s an example that shows how to use layer markers to trigger animation:

    Awesome content! Thanks for sharing.

I’m currently learning JS and wondering if it will eventually help me to understand AE expressions and scripts. For what I have learned AE Extended Script uses JS, too.
