    Purchasing the template would be a great way to see how they did it…

    My guess would be that they have a number of precomposed temporal “slices” of an audio-reactive comp — looks like at least a couple dozen — that animate toward a camera in Z-space in a single main render comp. Once they go off-screen, the same “slice” can be reused (all running with some time-based expressions) to accommodate longer content.

    You could also do this with particle systems or masks and time displacement (the slit-scan effect).
