  Blood spatter

  Hello all, trying this place out see what I catch.

  So I filmed a bit of video for a scene with a person in a mount over another, got only the attacker in the frame and he proceeds to hit the guy below him with a hammer. I tried to work with practical effects and it didn’t work out so figure I’d try after effects. I’d like to learn to do this for myself but can’t really find a relevant tutorial. Basically I’d want blood spatter from the below guy hitting my in-frame guy. Can anyone refer me to a tutorial that shows something of that kind? Most of what I found is guys getting hit and that’s not really the direction.

  this is usually done by placing a captured video of a splatter caught on tape and then composited over the image using standard compositing methods including tracking if necessary. you may found something in here:
