Only one layer is being affected
Hey guys, I’m currently animating a map of America. I made a photoshop file and have made each different layer a different state. I then imported the photoshop file into After Effects and animated them. Basically each state fades in and falls into place.
Everything’s worked perfect so far but when I tried to add a light layer, it only affects Texas. Not only that but I also used a change to color effect to highlight certain states and again, no states are affected but Texas. I’m not sure why this is happening. Each layer is a 3D layer they’ve already been animated. They are all on the same axis as well. I’m not sure how to fix it.

nothing I can see here to imply some layers won’t be affected. unless you changed the material options of each layer to not accept light. you can reduce your project to the offending composition and send the project file here so we can examine it. there could be number of things that making this not work.
