  • Create mask around png or .psd image?

So, my intentions are to use the mask to create an audio spectrum around an image.

I have done this before, but I literraly drew the mask with my mouse which resulted an unprofessional and clean product.

I have an image in both .png and the actual .psd file.

Can someone tell me how to create a mask from an image for use with the audio spectrum plugin in ae cs6

If you need any more information let me know, new to this forum so not sure how to format my threads!

    Thanks

Assuming your file has an alpha channel, use Layer –> Auto-trace.
