exporting 27000 width video, doesn’t work
hey everyone,
I need to export a video with 27000×80 px size. Encoder can’r hands it (kept preparing XML link for 2 hours), render encoder gives me just black.
I checked, exported a smaller size (something like 4000x80px) and it went fine.
Couldn’t find any answer, maybe someone had the same problem?thanks in advance.

What format and codec are you trying to encode? I’d suggest doing an image sequence or a QuickTime with the PNG codec from the After Effects render queue and then taking that into AME to make your final deliverable.

As Michael mentions, lots of formats have size restrictions.
It sounds like you’re working on an arena fascia system. Most of these request uncompressed deliverables. You should get the exact delivery specs for this display from the venue you’re working with.

There isn’t a codec that supports anything that wide except for image sequences that don’t have any restrictions. What are you trying to do and do you have any delivery specs for it?

Most codecs cant’ come close to matching that size. Image sequences can however. I would contact the client and ask how the files are normally prepared if they are insisting on mp4 or AVI.

– avi, uncompressed”I see requirements like this all the time. AVI Uncompressed (“None” codec) handles 27000×80 without trouble.
MPEG-4 does not go that wide. I honestly don’t understand how they write them into the specs, but a great many venues wrongly ask for this. Perhaps your venue has a map available that will pack the fascia into a more standard raster that MPEG-4 can support. That fascia is too big for any HD resolution, but it could pack into 1920×1200 or UHD.
If you can’t deliver AVI Uncompressed (perhaps you’re on a Mac), maybe you can ask them if they can support QuickTime PhotoJPEG and supply them a test file with your request to confirm.

the was my concern: mp4?? but we agreed to split the video to 8 parts, so it is doable! thanks!
