  Sonar Ping or Office Lights Effect With Text

  Could someone help me with the Sonar Ping or the Office Lights effect? I’m using them with text i want to use the effect for a couple of seconds but then stop after a couple but i cant figure out how to get the effect to stop, could somebody help me? it would be greatly appreciated

  These look like some new text animation presets. The easiest way is to just split your text layer at the point you want the effect to stop, and then remove the effect from the second layer. You could also keyframe the slider controls that come with these effects.
