  • Writing XMP marker data from AE and importing it into Premiere

I’ve been exporting Quicktime ProRes files out of After Effects using these settings
I have the write XMP data option on.

When I go to import these QT files into Premiere, they don’t have markers. However, when I import the QT’s back into AE, there’s markers.

Conversely, writing QT files with XMP data from Premiere and bringing those into AE seems to bring in markers just fine. Why is this not working the other direction? Any thoughts on this would be very helpful. I need to give our editor some specific cut points, and markers would be the most efficient way to do it. Thanks.

I’m on a MacPro using AE and Premiere 2015.

I feel like I read somewhere that only one of AE’s two types of markers transfer over. I feel like it was comp markers only instead of layer markers. Whichever one you’re using, I’d try the other.
