    How can you add a bright glow effect to a scene? The lighting effect should look like light emancipating from inside a box and shine out when the box is opened, and will brighten the face of the actor with a colored glow. Kind of like the briefcase scene in Pulp Fiction” The scene is going to be shoot outside..
    Have to tell you guys that we are newbies when it comes to After Effects:(

    I agree with Dave. Practical effects are the way to go here. You can always enhance it after with some flares or rays, but it can be pretty difficult to create realistic lighting in post that interacts with the scene properly in shots like this.
