  AE rendering suddenly slow then fast again

  I’m in AE CC 2014 on a Windows 7 machine. I’m having difficulty with a project suddenly rendering slow. It rendered in five minutes before, but now it’s taking over fifteen minutes. I changed nothing. I restarted my computer and it went back down to five, but now it’s back up to fifteen even though I tried restarting again. I tried purging everything but that didn’t help. I have plenty of free room on my solid-state hard drives, and I have 16 GB of RAM on a 64-bit system. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  When you rendered originally, was the quality the same as now? And are you using the GPU or just software rendering?
