iPhone squishes video
Hey,
Not 100% an after effects question but I edit with it and convert to mp4 with handbrake. When I make a 1080×1920 video, transfer it to my iPhone, it plays nicelys. But if I try to edit the video further once it’s on my phone, like adjust the colour or something, it immediately squishes the video into a square. Attached are before and after screen shots. Happens is iOS editor and Instagram, any editor on the phone. Must be some encoding setting getting messed up?
Figured the after effects gurus might know cause so many of us are making neat vids in after effects for social media these days.

Are you saying Instagram is creating the disproportionate scale? -
Hi Eric, thanks for your response. It doesn’t just happen in Instagram, it happens in any application. Even native iOS photos app.
I can go into the edit settings, but as soon as I adjust a single value, the video squishes into a square.
