    Hello cows!

    I was wondering; is there any way to automatically create noise or scatter on the darken parts of an images/shape/object, for example a gradient.

    Cant figure it out, i was thinking displacement or smth..

    Noise would be easy:

    Duplicate the footage layer, use tint to make it black and white and levels to isolate the dark areas on the top copy.

    Add an adjustment layer with the Noise effect between the two and set the track matte to inverted luma.
