  shape element position

  hi,

  i want to read out the position of an element inside of a shape layer, e.g. a circle, path or whatever, in relation to the composition. maybe this was questioned a thousand times, but i can´t find something. would appreciate a hint, thank you!

  I’m not sure on your use case, but say if you wanted to have a null object locked to the position of Rectangle 1 inside of Shape Layer 1, you could put this expression on the position of the null:

  toWorld(thisComp.layer("Shape Layer 1").content("Rectangle 1").transform.position)
  

  ‘toWorld()’ converts layer space to world/comp space.
