  • AE CS6 problem with some cc effects?

I’m running CS6 on a rMBP. Some of the simulation filters don’t seem to be working properly. If I use CC snow or rain on a layer it won’t show up properly. However, if I add cc particle world and then snow or rain it looks fine? I re-installed AE thinking in was an installation issue, but same problem. Is this a bug? anyone else seen this?

    Thanks,

Sorry Dave, should have mentioned that.

    OS X 10.10.1
    AE 11.0.4.2

That was my first thought. I downloaded a new installer form Adobe. Then downloaded the most recent update from Adobe. No luck 🙁

Anyone else running CS6 on a Mac that could check this?

New comp. New Layer. CC Snow. Nothing.

New comp. New layer. CC Particular. CC Snow. Works just fine.

Same thing for rain or bubbles.

I haven’t heard of anyone else running into problems like this yet. I don’t have CS6 on my Mac to test it out (and it’s at home anyway), but since CS6 is included in Creative Cloud, I could install the old version this weekend. I’m not running Yosemite though because of all the issues people have had with it. I wonder if this is another Yosemite issue…
