Hiding objects behind in-camera lens flare
I have some footage that contains an in-camera lens flare. What I’d like to do is place elements to make them look as if they’re behind the lens flare, but techniques like rotoscoping would be tedious and yield ugly results. I was wondering if there’s a better way to go about achieving this effect. Perhaps a track matte of some sort?

I’m not on a machine with AE at the moment, but you can probably luma key the flare.
