  • Change text layer name based on content (project wide)

    Hi,

Re-posted from else where as I lost the thread!

I’m in need of a script that will automatically change text layer names, project wide, based on it’s existing content… at the press of a button. It will also need to add a prefix “^” and only include the first 4 words without spaces or symbols.

    For example, content would be:

Ben just voted no in the general election

    Layer name then becomes:

    ^Benjustvotedno

I’ve been trawling the internet and haven’t found a resource that talks about a process like this.

    Many thanks for any assistance!
