  MAC Internal/External Drive Read-Write Organization for Doc Project

  Hi all,

  Apologies if this is a basic question re drive configuration.

  Running Premiere Pro 2020 on my MacBookPro and getting going on a massive doc project. Want to use internal and external drives to maximize system speeds.

  Can people share best use of internal and external drives for performance optimization?

  COMPUTER:
  MacBookPro 15 in 2018; Processor: 2.9 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i9; Memory: 32 GB 2400 MHz DDR4; Graphics: Radeon Pro 560X 4 GB; Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

  Media Footage: 2.8 TB of UHD (3840 x 2160) video

  EXTERNAL DRIVES:
  Two Samsung T5 2 TB Portable SSD’s:
  -Presently, most of full-res video media files on SSD T5Drive 1
  -Remainder of full-res video media files, plus 1280×720 Proxy Files of all video media currently on SSD T5 Drive 2.

  I also have a LaCie Rugged Thunderbolt USB-C 5TB drive with 1.5 TB of available space. (https://www.lacie.com/www-content/datasheets/pdfs/rugged-thunderbolt-usb-c-15-mmDS1919-4-1911US-en_US.pdf) that can be used if useful.

  QUESTIONS:
  Where should media files be located?
  Where should proxy files be located?
  Where should Adobe project files be located?
  Where shouldAdobe media cache be located?

  Could buy a third T5 Drive if needed, but if not necessary, would love to save the $$ if a great performance optimization could be worked out with the three drives I have.
