    Hi,
New to Premiere. I Created proxies using a custom preset. i included a watermark to easily identify the proxy files when viewed.
I see the watermark in the monitor panel, but it remains there when i press the toggle proxies button. the button toggles white to blue and back, but the media always contain the watermark. I don’t understand the function of the button.

    Thanks
    John

Are your original media files still available? If they’re not, Premiere defaults to using the proxy media. It’s a way to make a project more portable – offload the high-res files to other storage while you’re editing, and reconnect them when you need them for color grading, effects, etc.

I dont think Ive ever tried the proxy workflow with the watermark?
    Does it ever work?
I know when I switch (RED 4K/8K) the screen changes due to aspect ratio.
Thats the only tell on my end.
