  • Can’t remember effect or script name to control properties

Too wordy to describe in the title, so I hope people click on this.

In the last year or so I used some type of plug-in or script that would really come in handy. But I only toyed with it the one time and I don’t remember what it’s called. I suffer from CRS. Please help!

Okay, so, whatever this was (plug-in, script, expression) allowed you to select properties for different layers and have them be altered by a percentage of a master controller.

In other words, if I had 4 circles on the left side of the screen and wanted to move them to the right and have them wind up being different distances away from the left (like the first one 25% across the screen, the second one 50%, the third 75%, and the fourth 100%), I could easily keyframe them over (let’s say) 10 seconds to wind up those distances.

What this controller did, though, was allow you to select whichever property you want to effect (in this example, the X-axis of each circle shape) and pick whip them to the master controller. You can assign each object a multiplier, basically.

In the example, you would have the fourth circle going 100% of the way across the screen have a multiplier of 1. The third circle only going 75% of the way would have a multiplier of 0.75 (then 0.5 and 0.25, obviously). That way when you changed the value of just the one master controller, each circle shape only moves a percentage of the master value.

I have need of this again but I can’t for the life of me remember what it was.

    Any ideas?
