    How would I recreate the shine on the logo (the red)? This was done in After Effects, I’m a little unsure how to recreate this.

    Looks like a Bevel and Emboss layer style was added to the 7. You can find that feature under Layer/Layer Styles. Then adjust to taste.

    lol….the red logo has no shine to it at all

    Subtle shine you can fake using masks.
    If you want it in 3D then you need to precomp it with lights.
    Need to play around with the bevel as others suggested.
