  Transforming shapes

  Hey guys

  This is my first time posting here. I’m not new to After Effects however I am having some real difficulties doing what should be a simple task.

  What I’m trying to do is to have a shape transform into another shape over time. Now I’ve done this a million times but with this particular project I’m having some issues. The first shape is a circle, or 3/4 of a circle. I don’t know if this shape has a name but just look at the screen grabs. I want it to transform into an arrow. The problem I’m having with this is that the paths overlap in the middle of the transformation leaving like white spots where I don’t want them. I know this is a terrible explanation but maybe you guys can figure out what I mean from the screengrabs. Any help is really appreciated.

  In the middle of the animation you can try to create the arrow the way it should look in the middle of the animation to help get things moving in the right direction.
