    Hi!

    I got some problems with the Drop Shadow Effect in AE 6.5 Pro.

    The first time I experienced the problem was on the other layer, the white 3D stroke on the same map. I got rid of this problem by accidentally enabling/disabling the Adjustment Layer button in timeline. Now I thought maybe I could do the same on this one, but it didn

    it looks as though your transfer mode is set to dissolve… but this would effect the entire layer and not just the drop shadow… hmmmm… have you tried just duplicating your layer and offsetting it to simulate a shadow? it’s not the answer but a workaround anyway…

    If the layer’s blending mode is set to dissolve you only notice the difference in the areas not 100% opaque.
    I agree, this looks as though your layer’s blending mode is dissolve. Set it back to normal and you should be fine.
