  Compression technique/standard used in MPEG2 Transport Stream

  Hi all,
  I am trying hard to find what compression method is used in MPEG2-TS. On a wiki page (link given below) it ‘appears’ to be h.262 but I am not so sure as the wording is vague.

  I also found out that the compression method used in MPEG is DCT and block-based scheme with motion compensation. Does it mean that MPEG2-TS have the same compression method?

  On a forum, I found out that typically h.264 is used for compression in MPEG2-TS .
  So which one is it?
