  Multi-Core/CPU/Thread support with after effects?

  Is after effects 6.5 professional not multi-threaded / multi-core supported? When I render anything, even with premier 1.5 professional, my cpu is in the range of 15% to 30% cpu usage. Is there any tweaks that i can be made aware of regarding afx to make it render faster with a multi core cpu? (and in general, i know of the caps lock trick) – thanks a ton

  Actually: After Effects is, many plugins are not.
  However 15-30% CPU is a very low number, I’ve never seen that happen in my workflow, but I’m not on a mulitcore PC.

  I do see however that when I use a lot of very heavy source-material (ultra-hires stills/psds , dozens of HiDef Quicktimes), Then the CPU is not the bottleneck, and it sits there waiting till all the image-data is loaded for each frame.
