  user preferences

  I cannot access my preferences either with command , or when I click on the tab. It isn’t greyed out but when I click on it nothing happens.
  So far the only problem I have encountered is with the spacebar. It doesn’t play when I click it but the f keys function as they are supposed to.
  Any thoughts?

  This in in Motion 4. Not only can’t I set preferences but I also can’t isolate layers using the x key.
