RS-422 for machince control
I’m posting a feature request here because I know AJAs support staff will read it and I’m thinking others might be interested in this feature too.
I’d like to see the KiPro have the ability to control VTRs via its RS-422 port. Enabling that function as well as adding a simple batch capture list to the internal web browser would make digitizing / archiving a really attractive proposition. Imagine not having to use your editor to digitize from tape… Or being able to set up an unattended archive of old tapes…
This article from AJAs website makes my point because it shows how a production company is using a KiPro mini to digitize offline but, of course, without the benefit of machine control: https://www.aja.com/news/index_article.php?id=151
