Does anyone know if it’s possible to output to the KiPro from an Avid MC?

We’re looking for a way to create ProRes HQ files from shows that are
ingested and cut as DNX220 in our AVIDs.

We don’t own a KiPro, just investigating the possibilities.

    thanks,

You can send ltc out and record through the front panel or web GUI and steal tc that way.

As far as I know rs422 doesn’t work without a Kona card. I would write AJA and ask (very nicely I might add) if rs422 support might be coming by the way of the Avid.

For now, it would be a manual punch in with ltc and SDI.

If tc isn’t important to you (heh-heh) then you can just hit record while paying back the timeline.
