We received some SD Ki Pro-recorded clips from an event video company that are all displaying vibrating red lines down the right side. Can anyone identify what may have caused these lines? Unfortunately, I don’t know what camera was used to shoot this or what input was used on the Ki Pro, but I’m suspecting that it might be composite.

Below is the link to download a short 9MB ProRes clip that we received. This is a clip straight from the Ki Pro with no further compression.

Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Jason,
It would seem that there may have been an issue with an analog source that was feeding the Ki Pro. The Ki Pro accepts component, but not composite. So it’s possible that there was some issue with the red portion of the component signal.

If the video signal that fed the Ki Pro had some issue, then there isn’t much that can be done to resolve the issue once the QuickTime files have been produced.

Thanks so much for your quick response to my question! I figured it was most likely an issue with the signal that was being fed to the Ki Pro. In addition to the red lines, we also had to deal with a lot of graininess in the image that was caused by them using a camera that had poor low-light capabilities with the gain cranked up.

I knew that the Ki Pro wouldn’t add that to the image!
