  This might sound like a dumb question, but would there be anything to stop you using Ki Pro-captured assets in Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 on a Mac rather than FCP?

  As far as I remember, I can open, play, edit and export Apple ProRes 422 assets in PPro no problem, so I’m guessing there’d be nothing to stop me using PPro over FCP?

  Nope. Premiere is pretty much format agnosting. You would need the codec on your premiere system to encode back to ProRes, if not the free ProRes decoder and another choice of encoder will work fine.
