  New System

  I’m thinking about incoporating a Xena HS card, along with PPro 2.0 into my dual Xeon 3.0 system. Any thoughts and/or comments.

  what kind of storage system are you thinking about?

  What format will you be using primarily? HD? SD?

  What is your capture source?

  Andrew,

  Currently in both of our systems (dual xeon and intel dual core) we use an on-board sata raid-0 contoller and an external raid-0 with an internal PCI-X sata-2 host card plugged into a multiport box. We are ingesting SD via a decklink multibridge unit.

  So you plan on using CineForm for SD work?

  Tim,

  I didn’t know that “CineForm” was reqiured ti work with PPro 2.0 and Aja’s Xena card. Is there something I’m missing?

  No…you don’t need CineForm to run a Xena card.
