IO XT noisy

What are you doing that the fan runs all the time? I do not find the ioXT noisy at all, used in a variety of situations without issue.

Dont cover it up or put drives on it both of those things will cause the unit to run hot.

Well i guess it’s all relative what one considers noisy. I have it in my PT HD mixing suite, it’s simply sitting on a table with nothing around/on top/underneath it. I and all the mixers find it loud as hell. You can really hear the difference when it’s plugged in or not. We tried both revision of the IO XT and it does not seem to make a big difference.

I notice the fans…but I don’t think it’s LOUD. But then again, you are concentrating on audio, so it is more present in your mind.
