I now have an AJA io HD and a datavideo SE-2000. I want to record what output from the SE-2000 (video mix by a JVC camcorder and computer graphics) to a macbook pro.
I connected the output from the se-2000 to the input of the AJA with SDI cable. Then connect the AJA to the macbook pro with firewire cable.
When i go to Quicktime > new movie recording, the AJA only appears under “Microphone”, and only Bulit-in iSight under ” Camera”. Did i miss something?
    Thank you very much!

Yes. The AJA doesn’t fully interface with Quicktime. AJA did make a stand alone capture app…but for later models, not the original IO. The original IO was designed to be used with FCP. You can use FCP to capture. But I’d run a backup capture too. FCP can crash and isn’t 100% reliable.
