Help my my iohd will only output test patterns!
Posted by Jason Morton on March 16, 2010 at 1:57 pmcant get my fcp output through my iohd despite re-booting, update firmware and update software. no joy. i noticed it has been getting very warm. has it overheated? any ideas, thanks

my iohd is set to 1080p 25 pro res hq 1920×1080, i have let it cool off and just reinstalled the software again after uninstalling and im getting output but only at 1080i 25 it wont give me an option for 1080p 25 -

March 16, 2010 at 3:21 pmDid you install the 1080p easy setups or better yet, did you close FCP, click the setup tab, choose the 25.50 check box and the 1080 progressive checkbox? That is if you truly need 1080p. You can set the output to 1080i25 and the ioHD will output psf. True ‘p’ is rare for tape layoff, but can be used in monitoring.

March 16, 2010 at 3:46 pmah forgot about the tick box in setup thanks working a treat. i wont be laying off 1080p its just for monitoring all the footage has been shot 1080p source plus all the gfx the same. im exporting and its going into ds to be split screened for a giant projection via qt export

When you first install the drivers, you have to install more than just the base setups. You can then install the additional 1080p setups there. If not, just use the control panel.

March 16, 2010 at 5:48 pmi did do that, just was not seeing them because i did not have the 1080p box ticked in setup on the utility, finger trouble again
