when is the Motu V3HD coming out?
Does any one know when will Moyu’s V3HD be out?

I’ve seen reviews (previews) that said later this year, with one saying Q3 of this year. It only does DVCProHD, but a blogger posted a reply from MOTU about proRes, they said they’re looking into that ability (my guess: it won’t happen anytime soon, since Apple and AJA worked together on the IO HD).

If I shoot a job with the RED camera, and I edit the material using the Motu V3HD, will I be able to take that media and move it onto a system with an I/O HD ? I need to take delivery of the I/O HD and Motu V3HD by this Thursday, as my cameraman is shooting the commercial with the RED camera tomorrow. And will I have problems doing this with my laptop?

This is the AJA Io forum,
if MOTU wants a forum here they welcome to create their own.You can post MOTU info in the FCP or the HD forums but it has gone over info when sales guys start pitching with phone numbers.
We need to respect the rights of each Mfg’s forum out of courtesy to them for their support of the Cow.

Gary’s right, to a point. The reason the V3HD was (and should) be discussed here in this forum is that it’s the closest thing (so far) to the IOHD. So it’s valid to compare the two, and even say the V3HD might be better than the IOHD if you think so, if for no other eason than to piss Bob off. 🙂 But, I agree, keep the “we’ve got them, buy from us” out of here.

I think that ‘respect’ should start with the cow if Aja ‘owns’ this forum as would Blackmagic Design ‘own’ their forum where there are Matrox advertisements inside their threads eg.
