  Direct capture through AJA Io or Io LD

  Hi.
  I’m one of the AJA Io and Io LD users.
  I read an article in this forum and I want to make it sure.
  What I’m wondering is that I can get a capture directly to ProRes 422 through AJA Io and Io LD.
  If if it’s possible, please let me know the setting in FCP.
  And it’s not possible, do you have any plans to update a driver?

  It seems to be: you have to go into audio/video settings,capture presets tab,duplicate one of the presets and then edit it.I use an IO LD and can edit a copy of the AJA 8-bit SDI preset to transcode to Prores on capture.Don’t have time to test right now,but I regularly transcode SDI into other compressed formats on capture.

  ProRes capture is being handled by the computer and not the card (only the IoHD was hardware conversion). So if you are wanting to use the SD ProRes it would depend on your system being able to handle it.
