  AJA IO dropped frames and aseemble issues

  Hi All,

  I have an AJA IO LA that is dropping frames about a third throught the assemble edit of a 20 minute show.

  I try to pick up from THAT point and do an assemble and FCPRo tells me it can’t because it is a one frame edit, even though I have an in and out that are 10 minutes apart!

  any ideas?

  copy the clips to a new sequence. usually works for me.

  Make sure all of your footage is rendered (even full rt effects by selecting full in the sequence>render menus), you have the disk drive bandwidth, and do an audio mixdown right before you assemble. If that doesn’t work back up a shot or so and let your drives get a running start at it. What kind of drives do you have and how full are they?

  That’s what it was…had to free up soem drive space.
