  s-video -> no video

  hello,

  just dug out my aja io la box again after some months. i want to sell it and wanted to do a little test beforehand. now i can’t capture s-video. control panel shows “no video” all the time. fcp just captures an all black movie. i tried it with a vcr and a dvd player. tried a s-video to s-video cable and a scart to s-video cable. current firmware and drivers are installed. no success at all. does anyone have an idea what to do?

  Where’d, you dig it out from? The dirty edit room graveyard 😉

  Are you sure you have set up the control panel properly? Does it work with FCP and easy setups? What version of drivers and firmware do you have? I know you said latest, but where did you get them from and when did you install them? Do you have another capture card software on your computer? Did you completely remove any other capture card drivers, and perhaps any remnants of any older AJA io installs before updating? Does any other input work (Composite, component, any audio inputs?) Do the outputs work? how is everything hooked up?

  well, unfortunately not. rather from the dusty futile project remnants junkyard 🙂

  but it works now. i think the problem was that i didn’t uninstall the old aja version. thanks a lot!
