IO LA, no video playback
The IO LA is hooked up to my powerbook’s FW400 port. I have a Lacie FW800 cardbus card installed on the pcmcia slot. A G-raid is hooked up to the Lacie card via fw800 cable.
Powerbook is a new 1.67ghz with 2 gb of ram.
The problem:
I can get audio playing back through the IO LA’s audio outs. But can’t get video playback throught the IO’s Component out.
I have set the external video to ALL FRAMES, and set the video out put to IO Pro 8 bit component.
Nothing on my external program monitor unless I tell it to “Show current”, then it will show the current frame under the playhead. As soon I hit play nothing.
Any ideas?

go to the AJA web site under support. UNINSTALL the AJA IO drivers, and then using the drivers on the website (not the CD) reinstall the AJA I/O drivers, and reboot.

I tried that and still get the same results. No IO LA realtime video playback. Will only show a still frame when I select “show current’.

Try checking the “fit to window” option in the viewer and canvas image zoom drop down. -

Aja told me to uninstall the IO drivers and FC Pro 5, then reinstall.
It now works fine and looks great.

so matt, since you said previously that you UNINSTALLED the AJA IO driver and reinstalled, but this time you also UNINSTALLED FCP as well, do you feel that your problem was resolved from uninstalling FCP , and reinistalling it ?
