  New camera

  Hi-

  I just took delivery of a Canon XL2. I’ll be doing documentary work with it, and I’m going to be shooting 24p, 16:9. Can anyone help me with exactly which preset in the IoLA to use?

  So far, I have two main issues: 1) when I capture and then put a clip into the timeline, it has to render before I can work with it and 2) my monitor (which does not have a 16:9 switch, plays a frame and freezes.

  Can anyone suggest articles that might help educate me on this as well? I’ve done some searching already, but am looking for ideas.

  edit/capture in DV anamorphic with appropriate pulldown and place contents of timeline in new IO easy setup sequence to output.

  you may need to check the anamorphic setting in the dv and IO
  sequence.
