I am not sure this is the correct pouch of this forum to ask this but since we will be using an ATEM mixer at the source location, maybe it is.

We want to convert an HD/SDI or HDMI video signal to be used with conferencing software such as Fuze. My understanding is that webcams put out a different signal type so that the signal can get toggled by conferencing software up and down in quality to address the needs of bandwidth when conferencing. Is there a conversion device that converts HD/SDI or HDMI to USB so a pro video camera can be seen by conferencing programs? The reason we want to do this and will want to used Fuze is that there will be a remote location that will ask questions at times. Streaming is out because of the delay.

We will use a Mac laptop, so another question is can this be accomplished with conferencing software over the thunderbolt connection or does conferencing software only recognize signals coming through USB?

Thanks for your help in this and let me know if there is a better place you imagine I might post this?
