Hopefully I’m posting in the right forum here…

My boss has tasked me with doing an HD to SD downconvert of a TV series we worked on while he’s out of the office for the next few days. However we never actually clarified exactly how to go about doing so…

So my first question is: can I do a downconvert between these two different types of cards (Output from Kona into the Decklink Studio 2, or vice versa) and if so what exactly is the procedure?

The show is in 1080p at 29.97fps and we’re going to down-convert for NTSC DVD.

I understand the very basic idea (take the output from one computer, and use log and capture in FCP from another computer to capture the signal) but have no idea what dials and buttons a switches I need to flip on each machine (be it in Final cut pro, Aja control pannel, etc.) in order to get that process to work.

ANY help you can offer would be GREATLY appreciated.
