I have been installing more and more Adobe CS6 editing systems using Premiere. At this moment, because of the tight integration with the AJA Kona hardware, this is the only series of I/O cards that I will install with a new Premiere installation.

With that said, it is beyond me why AJA doesn’t have a link on their website to the wonderful YouTube video that they created about how to properly integrate CS6 and the AJA products.

Have you tried capturing from or laying back to tape……… Not a pretty sight yet.

For everything else about CS6 with AJA Kona / IoXT. Awesome.

I’m really loving Premiere and Aja. Aja and Adobe really do need to do something about tape capture and layback, however. I’m currently using FCP 7 to digitize then Editing in Premiere. Not very elegant but it works.

We capture via AJA and FCP 7 as it just works. But for tape layback, we can do that just fine with a BMD Extreme 3D card and Premiere Pro.

    Hi Greg and Walter,

Would you mind sharing some of the problems your running into while capturing and laying back to tape?

If you can provide detailed steps we can make sure these issues get looked into.

    Thanks in advance,
