  AJA KONA configuration

  Hello Cow forum. I am starting small and will slowly build. I would like advice as to whether something is wrong with this configuration.

  1. Mac Pro 2.26 quad core, 8 gigs ram, 2TB and 640 gig system drive. (and a 24″ computer monitor)
  2. AJA KONA LHE and LHE breakout box
  3. TV LOGIC LVM-172 broadcast monitor
  4. Big Knob Speaker and audio monitor w/Yamaha HS50M speakers (audio mixing will not be the priority)

  Here is my question. I will need to hook up a Beta SP deck(via component) and DVCAM (via firewire). We will be editing the beta SP footage, DV25, and DVCPRO HD media. Can I have my Logic Pro broadcast monitor hooked up via SDI at the same time as the Beta SP deck(via component) and edit, color correct, etc without having to unplug cables?

  Will I need a black burst for this? Do you have suggestions on what to look for when getting black burst generator?

  Any thoughts on what I am missing or needing is greatly appreciated.

  All the outs are available at the same time. so you will not have to unhook and cables.

  Yes you need a Black Burst, AJA Gen 10 is great and will probably the only one you will ever need
